Aqeel Farooqi is a government officer serving in the Uttar Pradesh Transport Department, based at Lucknow in India. He has an M.Sc in Zoology & an MBA. He studies wildlife as a hobby, and is voluntarily involved in assistance on wildlife conservation issues.

He has served as honorary UP State Coordinator of Indian Bird Conservation Network (IBCN) established by Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) and the UK based Royal Society for Protection of Birds (RSPB), and continues as Partner, IBCN.

The creation of this website is his individual effort aimed solely at establishing a communication network of like-minded people, and is not meant to be critical of any individual or organization.
